JAMES JIM M. LYON

James Lyon, 85, of Dickinson, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at residence.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 27, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. Memory Gardens in Nederland, Texas.

Mr. Lyon was born April 4, 1928 in Port Author, Texas. He was a Marine Biologist and worked at The National Marine Fisheries Department in Galveston, Texas for 30 years. He graduated from Texas AM in 1959. He loved to travel and fish.

Mr. Lyon is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Bettie Lyon 2 brothers John and Fred Lyon.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Loucretia Lyon of Dickinson, Texas daughter Pamela Sue Lovuolo and husband Joseph of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania brotherinlaw Travis A. Johnson of Aransas Pass, Texas sisterinlaw Shirley Willner of Dickinson, Texas numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
