James Gibbins

James "Jimmy" L. Gibbins, 69, of Texas City passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Texas City.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

He was born in Groveton, TX to parents, Lonnie Gibbins and Lillian Sarah Antley Gibbins on May 22, 1947. He was a longtime resident of Texas City, since 1981 retiring there with his wife, Patricia Gibbins. He worked as an asbestos worker for National Asbestos Local 22 for over 40 years. He was deeply loved by his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his fur children, Trixy and LouLou. He will be sorely missed by all.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Lillian Gibbins; son Shawn Kerry Gibbins; sister Ethel Hunter; brothers Cloyce and Gene David Gibbins.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Patricia Gibbins; daughter Courtney Best (Mason Evans); daughter Stephanie Klein and husband Paul; daughter Rhonda Kay Baker and husband Billy; son James Brandon Gibbins and wife Kimberly; grandchildren Lindsey Cole and husband Keaton, Matthew Klein and wife Jenna, Andrew Klein, Marissa Houck and husband Cullen, Shelby Baker, James Kayden Gibbins, Shawn Landon Gibbins, and Presley Lynn Gibbins. great grandchildren; Hayes James Cole, Addyson and Zayden Houck, and Lily Hansen. Sisters; Ada Williams, Carolyn Boudreaux and husband A.J., Marilyn Carnes, Wanda Johnson and husband Walter, Maedelle Fontenot and husband Sam, Sue Parker and husband Ray, Sarah Price and husband Buford.
