Jack Klotzman, 94, of Texas City, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Congregation Beth Jacob Cemetery with Rabbi Todd Doctor officiating.
Jack was born July 10, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA. to father, Amon and mother, Rebecca both deceased. Jack along with Leon and Leah Kauftheil owned and operated Jack and Leon men's clothing store on Six Street for many years. Jack was in the Navy in WWII and a member of the local American Legion Post 89. He was a member of many of the civic organizations in Texas City.
Jack worked and retired from the County of Galveston as a Grand Jury Bailiff where he made many friends of county employees and Law Enforcement agencies throughout the county. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife "Betty" Elizabeth for 61 years and son, Robert "Bobby" Klotzman; brothers, Abe and Phillip; sisters, Tillie, Celia, Goldie and Leah.
Survivors include sons, Bruce Klotzman and wife Karen, Steven Klotzman and wife Carolyn; Richard "Rick" Klotzman; grandchildren, Brian, David, Stephanie, Julia and Amy; great granddaughters, Lauren, Chloe and Anna; great grandsons, Jack and Robert and many loving nephews and nieces.
Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to express their thanks to all for their loving care and professional assistance.
Pallbearers are Bruce Klotzman, Steven Klotzman, Rick Klotzman, Melvin Kauftheil, Brian Klotzman and David Klotzman. Honorary Pallbearers Jack Babchick and Hal Lerman.
In lieu of flowers, Jack wanted people to just be good to one another. Donations may be made to Congregation Beth Jacob P.O. Box 750 Galveston, Texas 77550.
