ISABEL NANCY MARTINEZ

Isabel Nancy Martinez, 91, of Texas City, passed away Saturday, October 5, in Texas City.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, October 9, at the First Baptist Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be from 58 PM on Tuesday, October 8, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mrs. Martinez was born June 4, 1922 in Sugarland, TX. She was retired from the City of Texas City.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Texas City and was very active in the various missions of the church which were very important to her.

She is preceded in death by her son, Gerald, her seven brothers, her sister, and her special aunt, Aunt Emily.

Survivors include her son, Gilbert Martinez, Jr. daughters, Sylvia Alcazar and husband, Joe, Patricia Nelson and husband, Bob, and Lenida Molly Lopez and husband, Chewy granddaughters Amanda, Myra, Jennifer, Summer and Kristin a special cousin, John Nieves and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was Nanaw to numerous children she cared for over the years.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gilbert Martinez, III, Joel Alcazar, Jesse Lopez IV, Robert Bo Nelson, Gerald Martinez, Joshua Lopez and Adrian Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ashton Park Care Center for their care and concern of our loved one. A special thanks to the staff of the 100 hallway.
