Inman Hunt Jr. was born on September 30, 1941, in Louisiana. He worked for the State Highway Department for 23 years until retirement. He was happily married to Esther Ida Hunt for 47 years.
He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and a great friend and even a better man. He always had a love for fishing. After his wife passed, he moved to Athens, Texas to be close to his son, when he moved to Athens, he felt the love that his family showed him and was really happy to be with them. We lost Mr. Hunt on April 4, 2025, and he went to go meet his wife Esther in heaven.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Esther Hunt. Survivors include his son Robert L. Clary, Sr., daughter Elizabeth Darden Johnson, son Glenn Darden Jr., and daughter Jean Ann Phillips; grandchildren Immanuel Sukal, Nathan Sukal, Sr., Ricky Clary, William Clary, Lisa Burch, Bobbie Kluk, Tina Petty, Morgan D. Darden, Abigail Sukal, Abraham Sukal, Nathan Sukal, Jr., A.J. Eldredge, Robert Clary Jr., Michele Clary, Robert Phillips, Richard Phillips, Rachel Bailey, Russell Phillips, Kayla Gibson, and Russell Alber Phillips with additional 5 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025 with funeral services to begin at 10:30 a.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Burial to follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Richard Clary, William Clary, Joseph Magmun, Immanuel Sukal, Glenn Darden, Fr. And Morgan Darden.
