Inell Nellie Rose Schmidt, age 83, entered Heavens gates on July 31, 2012, at Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas where she was a resident of Fountain Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a longtime member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Texas City, TX.
Inell was born March 11, 1929 to Paul and Annie Marie Renken of Hondo, Texas, where she was the ninth of eleven children. With a beautiful spirit, she was a very social individual that brought joy and happiness to others and lit up a room with her smile. Inell loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She is preceded in death by her loving and dedicated husband Joseph Schmidt, six brothers, and one sister. She is survived by: son Joseph and his wife Gelinda of Austin, TX, and their children Michael, Elizabeth, Matthew, Marybeth and Catherine son Tom and his wife Marla of Houston, TX, and their children Mason, Madelyn, and Mitchell daughter Cindy Wade and her husband Jay of Hot Springs, AR, and their children Taylor, Pearson, Harrison, and Hudson sisters Ann Jones of Hondo, TX, Dorthy Tamplin of Bulverde, TX, and Margaret Renken of San Antonio, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at St Johns Catholic church in Hondo, TX, on Friday, August, 10 at 6:30 PM with visitation following. The burial service will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, TX, on Saturday, August, 11, at 2 p.m., with memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. at St. Marys Church in Texas City.
