Heinz Kather

Heinz Kather, 86, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his residence.

A Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at St. Mary's of The Miraculous Medal Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Heinz Kather was born October 14, 1929 in Germany to parents Anthony and Anna Kather. He married Lillian McAllister on November 26, 1960 after knowing each other only 6 months. He was retired from FMC where he was a Plant Supervisor for over 36 years.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lillian Kather; children, Carolyn Couch and husband Michael of League City, TX., Michael Kather and wife Susan and children Henry and Lilly of Waterbury, CT., Robert Kather and wife Stephanie and children Brittni, Sydney and Jack of Corinth, MS; brothers, Gerhard Kather and wife Claudia, Arnold Kather and wife Maria and Ewald Kather and wife Helga; sisters, Erika Lenze, Imgard and husband Hans-Willi Muller; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Michael Kather, Robert Kather, Jack Kather, Michael Couch, Dale Rogers and Tim Holt.
