Heather Mary Matthews, 56, of Texas City passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Mainland Hospital in Texas City

Due to the pandemic, a Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Heather was born October 11, 1963 in East Chicago, Indiana. She was a cashier at Kroger in Texas City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother Margaret Grace Dewar and father Richard James Matthews

Survivors include her son Michael James Matthews, grandson Nathan and granddaughter Natalie; sister Mary Allen, brother Mark Matthews, sister Susan Matthews, brother Michael G. Matthews and sister Lynda Matthews
