Hazel Marie Trepagnier Nealy, 95, of Texas City, TX, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at Regent Care Center in League City, TX with her oldest daughter at her side.
Hazel was born June 13, 1917 to her parents Oscar and Mattie Trepagnier in Garyville, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents siblings Oscar Jr., Dora, Linie and Irene first husband Ruben O. Hathcox son Michael R. Hathcox and second husband Emmett Drew Nealy.
Hazel is survived by daughters, Catherine Frank and husband Larry of Dickinson and Mary Thomas of Dallas grandson Eric Frank and wife Kristina of Dickinson granddaughters Cassi Nealy of League City and Mollie Thomas of Arlington two great granddaughters Madison Frank and Jenna Preston and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
All of her married life, Hazel was a devoted wife and mother with a passion for cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Marys of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church for 54 years.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Marys of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 1604 9th Ave N in Texas City with Father Tom Ponzini officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery 7801 Gulf Freeway, Dickinson, TX.
Pallbearers will be Carl Trepagnier, Paul Griner, Marcel Jeanfreau, Ben Hancock, Lou Greco, David Hasbargen and Eric Frank.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Regent Care and Altus Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Hazel during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Organization of your choice.
