GLORIA RABON

Gloria Rabon, 85, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:008:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Ms. Rabon was born December 1, 1928 in Texas City, Texas. She attended Kirwin High School where she graduated as Valedictorian. Mrs. Rabon graduated from Galveston Community College. She was retired from American National Insurance Company after working there for 31 years where she was head account of her department. In her younger years she often helped her father support and feed many families in the community through First Bait Camp of Texas City. She was involved in her Catholic Church throughout her younger days and was a fashion dresser.

Ms. Rabon is preceded in death by bothers, Severino Rabon, Jr., Joe B. Rabon and John Gilbert Rabon.

Survivors include nephews, Dennis Rabon, James Rabon, Terrance Rabon and John Rabon sisterinlaw, Jean Rabon.

Pallbearers will be family members.
