Georgia Youngblood

Georgia Dell Youngblood, 85, of Texas City, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Galveston Memorial Park.

Georgia Dell Youngblood came into the world September 17, 1931 in Luling, Texas. She loved taking care of her dog Charlotte, tending her yard, working crossword puzzles, and she was an excellent cook. Georgia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Texas City. The church was a great source of comfort for her. Mom's was a sweet, gentle soul and we will miss her beyond describing.

She is preceded in death by her son, Mickey, her husband, Gurney, her parents, George and Lola Faulks, her sister, Maisie Schoonover, her great nephew Will Firneisen, and her son in law Jesse Durant.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Greg Youngblood and wife Nancy, Douglas Youngblood and wife Christina and daughter, Monica Durant; grandsons Dalton Durant, Logan Durant, Landon Dysart, Ryder Dysart and niece Sally Stoops and husband Gary, Also, left behind are her friends from 1st Presbyterian Church in Texas City.
