Frank Mata Martinez, 48, beloved husband, father, and son, went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2024. Born in Galveston, TX, he was the son of the late Manuel Mata Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Celia Martinez (Nacho Martinez) and survived by Grandmother Linda Padierna.
Frank leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Michelle Melendez; three children: son Reginald Hamilton Jr. (Erin), son Gabriel Martinez, and daughter Mariah Martinez. His grandchildren, Aubree and Oakley Hamilton, also survive him.
He is additionally survived by his mother-in-law, Frances Rodriguez, and stepfather-in-law, Hector Muniz; brother-in-law, Tommy Rodriguez Jr. and nephew, Tres; sister-in-law, Lisa Garcia, nieces Monique Thorsen (Tim), (children Alexis and Adriana) and Brittany Rivera (children Aiden, Aliana, and Kace).
His siblings include Erica Martinez; Annette Partida, (David) (nephews Presley, Roman and niece Mia); and nephew, Nicholas. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in both the Soliz and Martinez family.
Frank was a hardworking man who cherished his job at Accu Test Labs LTD, where he was employed for over 25 years. He greatly admired the owner, Kenneth Waites, as a father figure and considered manager, Robert Johnston, as a brother. His colleagues were like brothers to him. He enjoyed grilling and sharing meals using his pit at his job. Frank's kindness and humor will be deeply missed, and the workplace will never be the same without his daily beautiful smile.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, taking out his side-by-side, road trips in his RV, and dancing with his wife. Frank loved his new bar at home, constantly upgrading it and adding new items. He was fond of collecting hats and spending time with friends and family on weekends, truly enjoying every moment of life. As a fan of the Texans and Astros, he enjoyed tailgating and traveling to games with his family and friends. His friends fondly referred to him as “Frank the TANK”, as he was always the last one to leave the party. Frank will always be remembered as the “Life of the Party”!
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Accu Test Labs, Emken-Linton Funeral Home, and all those who have supported the family in making his celebration of life possible.
