Faye Castanie McDonald

Faye Castanie McDonald, 81, formerly of Texas City and more recently of Santa Fe, Texas passed from this life to be with our Lord, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 18, 1932 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was the youngest of four children born to Leonard B. and Belle Castanie Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard B and Belle Castanie Sr., her two brothers, Roland Castanie and Leonard B Castanie, Jr. and one sister, Maragaret Castanie Howard. She is survived by her daughter, Janice A McDonald and son, Eugene W. McDonald, Jr both of Santa Fe, Texas and daughter of the heart Jean Simmons Payne of Missouri City, Texas. Also survived by her grandchildren, Chad S Kennedy and spouse Angela, Brandi Rost, Kayla McDonald and Tara Mata and spouse Cheyenne all of Santa Fe, Texas. Her greatgrandchildren Kameron and Kyra Rost, Kyndal and Caston Kennedy, Madyson Blake and Theodore Winston all of Santa Fe, Texas.

Faye graduated from Texas City High School and worked as secretary for Emmett F Lowry, J C Pennys, Sears and retired from GAF after 17 years.

She was in Altar Society, sponsor for Catholic Youth Organization, a volunteer at Eighth Avenue Nursing Home, Hearthstone Assisted Living and served as a Pink Lady at Mainland Center Hospital for eleven years.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at Noon on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Marys Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 1620 9th Avenue North, Texas City, Texas 7750

Center and Dr. Bruce for their kindness and compassion in the care of our mother.
