FARRELL GILREATH

Farrell Richard Gilreath, 84, of Texas City, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 23, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mr. Gilreath was born April 28, 1929 in Bronte, Texas. He was a U.S. Marine who served in the Korean War. He gave 44 years of service to Union Carbide and was a member of the Pipefitters Local 211. A member of the Masonic Lodge 1118 A.F. A.M.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Richa Clawson.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Juanita Gilreath sons David Gilreath and wife Pam, Mark Gilreath grandchildren Kirk Clawson, Danielle Pickering, Chase Gilreath, Stephen Sahr, Stephanie Crouch and Melissa Meyer and 13 Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers are Bruce Clawson, Chase Gilreath, Kirk Clawson, David Pickering, Edward Henderson and Charles Ray.
