Services for Evelyn Williams, 95, of Nacogdoches, Texas formally a long time resident of Texas City will be held at 2:00 p.m., July 16, 2015 at the First Church of Nazarene in Texas City, Texas. Pastor James Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m., before service.
Evelyn was born in Arkansas on August 10, 1919, the daughter of Charlie and Nora Head. She passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Evelyn was a home maker, wife and a mother to three boys. She was a member of the Nazarene Church for more than sixty years and was a Sunday School Teacher for fifty of those years. Evelyn touched the lives of many people over those years in a very positive way and will be missed by many. She enjoyed visiting her church members and attending every church service.
Survivors include her sons, Don Williams and wife Pauline of Alvin, Texas and David Williams and wife Jackie of Nacogdoches, Texas; four great grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Williams of Texas City; son, Darrell Gene Williams of Bayou Vista, Texas and great granddaughter Hannah Williamson of Eagle River Alaska.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Texas City First Church of the Nazarene.
