Evelyn (Evie) Harrison passed away on March 2,2025

Born in 1929 in Houston, Evie lived her entire adult life in Texas City where she and her husband Gene established roots and lifelong friendships. Evie was an executive assistant at Monsanto, retiring in 1986. St. Mary's of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church was her beloved parish for decades.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene thirty years ago and her sisters Jean, Jane, Nita and brothers Gus, Gilbert and Ellis. She is survived by her brother Greg Freitag and his wife Doris of Texas City and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Funeral mass officiated by Fr. Clint Ressler at St Mary's of the Miraculous Medal Texas City will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a lunch at the parish center. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School 1600 9th Ave N. , Texas City, TX 77590 or a charity of your choice.
