Else Jackson

On Thursday, March 8, 2018, Else Jackson, loving mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 91. She will be forever remembered by her children, John and wife Judy Jackson, daughter Jannette McGill, daughter in laws RoseAnn Jackson and JoAnn Jackson as well as her grandchildren, Shana Russell, Erick McGill, Mark Jackson, Frank Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Erica Ruiz, Jessica Schlitzberger, Shelley Warner, Tina Jackson, Brian Jackson, Caren Jackson, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Else will also be forever remembered by her extended family and dear friends. She is predeceased by her husband Frank C. Jackson, two sons, Frank W. Jackson and Robert C. Jackson, and son in law Harry McGill.

Else came to the U.S. from Germany in 1949 as the bride of an American soldier, Frank C. Jackson. They loved each other dearly and remained together until his passing in 2003. She was a strong woman who worked many odd jobs in her early years and later worked at and retired from Sterling Chemicals.

Mom (Nana) will always be remembered for her love and commitment to her family. She always put her family before herself. We will always remember Sunday dinners at Mom's. She loved to cook a big meal for the whole family and friends to come together and enjoy each other.

At Else's request a graveside ceremony is being planned for the family. Arrangements will be made through Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
