Ruby Eloise Chain OBryant, 85, of Texas City passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, Texas.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, 2014, at the EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Visitation will be from 1:003:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. OBryant was born April 26, 1929 in Mt. Olive, Mississippi. She was very active in a variety of civic organizations. She had a very joyful and positive spirit and loved dancing, boating, playing bridge, and most importantly spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J.W. OBryant and a grandson, Patrick OBryant.

Survivors include her children Cindy Caldwell, Pam Drake and husband Jeff, Alice Cardner and husband Rollie, Tim OBryant and Pat OBryant grandchildren, Brandy and husband Kevin, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Catherine, Amy, Kimberly, Matt, Kelly, John, Jay, Mallory, Scotty, Tim and Ellie great grandchildren, Kaleb, Bella and Anavrin numerous other extended family members and friends.
