Edwin Stubblefield

Edwin Stubblefield, 97, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Lorraine; his son, Glenn E. Stubblefield and wife Lynda; his grandchildren, Sherri Stubblefield and Robert Rion.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Alice Stubblefield; four brothers and three sisters.

Edwin retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. in 1981 after 33 years of service. Edwin proudly served in his country before, during and after World War II for 12 years as a Staff Sargent in the Army Combat Military Police of the 75th Infantry Division. He was in four major Battles, The Battle in the Ardennes, The Colmar Pocket Battle, The Battle for the Ruhr and The Battle of the Bulge.

Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2015 at Memorial Lutheran Church 2021 29th St N, Texas City with the service to follow. There will be a short graveside service at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
