Dorris Moonen

Dorris Louise Moonen, 84, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 1, 2013 at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with David Osteen and Santiago Acosta officiating. A Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, TX. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2013 also at Emken Linton Funeral Home.

Dorris was born on October 10, 1928 in Liberty, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of the Texas City Church of Christ.


She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Unity Pearl Day Wright.

Dorris is survived by her husband of 65 years Jesse Moonen, Jr. son Jess Moonen III daughters Caryl Evans, Anita Johnson and husband Scott and Janet Benson grandchildren Jeremy Benson, Jonathan Moonen, Mandi Benson and Steve Johnson numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
