Della Osteen

Della Farrow Baker Osteen, 80, of Santa Fe, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park, 7301 Memorial Drive, Hitchcock, TX, 77563. Visitation will be from 5:007:00 P.M., Monday, March 26, 2012 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Osteen was born on August 04, 1931 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. She was a pioneer woman in the tool business, the President of American Legion Ladys Auxiliary Post 554 and many interests to include cooking, gardening, fishing, camping, bunco, dancing, hunting, and shuffleboard.

She is preceded in death by her dad and mom, John Roy and Irene Griffin her brother, Jimmy Frank Griffin husband, Tex Farrow, husband Sam Baker, granddaughter, Trisa Kaye Farrow soninlaw Mike Sweeney.

She leaves behind her husband, James Osteen children, Steve and Michele Farrow, Barbara Sweeney and Rick Oshman, Loma and Morris Parrott, Rosa and Carl Burt step children, Vallon and Patti Osteen, Larry and Beth Osteen, Tommy and Jennifer Osteen, and Debbie and John Pire brother, John Roy Griffin sister, Joann Dodd Twentyseven grandchildren 22 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild.

Pallbearers will include Jason Wilson, Shannon Gore, Jonathan Bond, Vallon Osteen, Larry Osteen, and Tommy Osteen, Honorary Pallbearers will include, Carl Burt, Shawn Levesque, Rick Oshman, Leslie Green, and Chad Baker.
