DAVY RAY MORRIS

Davy Ray Morris, 78, of Dickinson, formerly of Galveston, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital. His loving wife and daughters were by his side.
He will be remembered privately by his family, who honored his wish to be cremated.
Davy was born September 16, 1934 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He had a forty year career in banking, and retired from Bank of America and UTMB.
Davy was a kind, patient, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and soninlaw. He spent many happy times with family and friends. Davy enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, carpentry, and even his Honey Do list.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Sudie Morris, and his son, Mark Morris.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Morris and his daughters, Cori Kelemen and husband Darrell of Texas City and Kayce Brown and husband Andrew of Spring. Sharing in his loss are grandsons, Cody Morris and wife Kayle of Royce City, Texas, Justin Kelemen, Brandon Kelemen, and Hayden Brown greatgranddaughter Kinsley Morris sisters Imogene Dowd of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and Oreta Anderson of Dallas, Texas many special nieces and nephews, and close family friends Rick and Jill Yancey of Missouri City.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Weiss and the wonderful staff at DekeSlayton Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Choudhary and the staff at Clear Lake Regional Hospital, especially his angels Kathy and Sarah in the Infusion Center. Thanks and appreciation are extended to Roy and Brandy with Immaculate Health Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
