David Albert Perez, 64, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Mary Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 with a rosary to follow at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
David Albert Perez was born January 28, 1953 in Weslaco, Texas. He was a retired operator at Amoco Oil Refinery. He enjoyed sports and was a Cowboys fan. He loved music from the oldies, country and R & B. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren and would help anybody whether it be family or friends. He loved attending Church at St. Mary's and helping with Legions of Mary at the nursing home weekly. He was a good man that always took care of his family and made sure no one hurt for nothing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Celedonio and Maria Perez and sister, Maria Perez.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Anastacia Perez; daughter, Stacey L. Sanchez; son/grandson, Jimi R. Martinez; grandson, Ryan Ybarra; great grandchildren, Annalise Martinez, Jimi Martinez II, Julian Martinez, Alexis Martinez and Jayden Martinez; brother, Robert Perez and wife Gloria and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jimi R. Martinez, Ryan Ybarra, Julian Cantu, Shannon Gonzales, Rudy Perez and Jessie Delao,
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.
