David Alaniz, Jr., 48, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. David was born December 11, 1966 in Galveston. He was a route salesman for Frito Lay, but more importantly a family man and a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015, 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, 2015, 10:00 A.M., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Alaniz, Sr.
Survivors include wife, Jo Ann Olguin; sons, David "Trey" Alaniz III and wife Marlene, Troy Marcus Alaniz; granddaughter, Isabel Marie Alaniz; mother, Dominga Alaniz; brother, Ernest Lee Alaniz; stepmother, Glenda Alaniz; sisters, Crystal Nicole Cortez, Angela Marie Alaniz; mother-in-law, Dora Cisneros; brothers-in-law, Jesse Olguin III and wife Billie Jean, Jeff Olguin and wife Dawn, Daniel Reyna, Jr. and wife Glenda; sisters-in-law, Caprina Olguin, Diana Hendricks; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Christopher R. Gonzales, Daniel Reyna, Jr., Jeff Olguin, Richard Ovalle, Frank Ovalle and Troy Wright; Honorary Pallbearer, Ruben Gaytan, Jr.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the care provided by the ICU medical team at Mainland Medical Center.
