Darlene Nicholson

Darlene Olsen Nicholson, 82, of Dickinson, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at home with her family.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, in Texas City, TX. 

Darlene was born December 31, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Carter A. Olsen and Gladyce A. Tews Olsen. She was a longtime realtor and broker in Friendswood, Pearland and Clear Lake for many years. She helped numerous families find the home of their dreams. She had a passion for real estate so much that she began teaching classes and mentoring others in the field. She enjoyed helping the community and spending time with family in her spare time. She was a Dickinson High School graduate, class of 1961.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Steven Christofferson.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Donald W. Nicholson; brother, Kenneth Olsen and wife Judy; sister Joyce Dillow; sons, Jeffrey Christofferson and wife Amira and Gregory Christofferson and wife Kelly; daughters, Susan Warner and husband Harold, Julie Christofferson, and Karen Young and husband Alan. Darlene is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber Bonin, Jessica Santellana and husband Mark, Dakota Christofferson and wife Kaitlin, Krystalynn Young, Kaylie Litvin and husband Scott, Selena Christofferson, Tayler Christofferson, Hanna Christofferson, and Joseph Christofferson; her great grandchildren, Lukas Gonzales, Lincoln Gonzales, Alina Gonzales, Camden Bonin, Kieran Bonin, Charleigh Santellana, and Iris Litvin.

The family would like to thank Village Home Health & Hospice Care in League City, especially Kim and Ivette, for the amazing care given to Darlene.
