Daphna Lee Sharp, 70, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, peacefully, surrounded by family in her home under the care of Traditions Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 18, 2021 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Daphna was born July 27, 1950 in Texas City. She worked as a clerk at the Port of Texas City previously Texas City Terminal Railway, but her love in life was her family. She enjoyed spending time and cutting up with her sisters and nieces. As a mother, Daphna would do absolutely anything for her boys. But perhaps the most outstanding part of her life at least recently was being a grandmother. She loved being around and playing with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Sharp, her parents Grady and Bulah Black, sister Lazelle Dunlap, and brother Grady Black
Survivors include her sons Travis and Wife Jeanne Sharp; Andy Sharp; sisters Catherine and husband Jim Dunlap, Millie Black, Linda Black, Brenda Neal, Glenda Barker, and Barbara Black. Grandchildren Audrey, Jack, Abigail, and Colt Sharp. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers are Travis Sharp, Andy Sharp, Barbara Black, Ray Dunlap, Amanda Black, and Manuel De La Garza. Honorary Pallbearers are Colt Sharp and Jack Sharp.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Texas City Missionary Baptist Church.
