Concepcion "Nena" Cano Tucker

In loving memory of Concepcion ”Nena” Cano Tucker, 77, of Mercedes, Texas. Concepcion passed peacefully on May 13, 2024, surrounded by loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Concepcion, known to many as a devoted wife, caring mother, and beloved grandmother, dedicated years of her life to her work at Amoco BP/Chocolate Bayou. Beyond her professional achievements, Concepcion’s true joy was found in the warmth of family gatherings and the strokes of her paintbrush on canvas; a passion she shared with those around her.

Concepcion was preceded in death by her loving parents, Raul and Concha Cano and also by her son Robert Constance Valdez, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Tucker; her daughters: Johan Garcia and husband George Pena of Galveston, Dolores Garcia Wheele of Austin: sons: Joe E. and wife Leticia Tucker of Shore Acres, Jeremy F. and Amanda Tucker of Texas City. Concepcion’s spirit lives on through her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild, who were the light of her life.

In her quiet moments, Concepcion found solace and expression through her art. She leaves behind a legacy of beauty and creativity that will endure for generations to come. She will be deeply missed by all who knew here, but her love and laughter will continue to echo in the hearts of those she touched.
