Clayton Lamar Puckett, 91, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Mainland Center Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Mr. Tom Medlin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Clayton was born December 15, 1926, in Austin, Texas. He was a Maintenance Supervisor with Monsanto Company for 33 years. Upon retiring in 1985 he was able to enjoy more time with his family and friends. He was a faithful member of Mainland Church of Christ, formerly 7th Street Church of Christ for over 60 years where he served as an Elder and Deacon for many years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Laura Lucille Puckett, father Leon Puckett, mother Susie Puckett, and brother Louis Puckett, Jr.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Rosie Lee Puckett of Texas City; daughter Andria Beakley and husband Deryl of Colleyville; son Dennis Puckett and wife Julie of Texas City; step-daughter Anne Smith of Cypress; grandchildren Ann Cash, Shelby Burden, Morgan Gulbas, Manon Puckett, Clay Puckett; step-grandchildren Eric Moss; Alex Lemmonds; Makenzie Catching; great grandchildren Tyler Cash, Taylor Cash, Jillian Gulbas, Haven Gulbas, Jaden Burden, Lillian Puckett, Corbin Puckett, Payten Burden, Ryan Gulbas; step-grandchild Damien Moss; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
