Clarence Bobino, 91, a resident of Texas City, Texas, departed this world Friday September 15, 2017 at 1:05 pm at the Jeanie Sealy Hospital-UTMB Health in Galveston Texas.

Born December 19, 1925 in Beaumont Texas, he was the son of the late Rodger Bobino and Orelia Jones.

Clarence Bobino was a quiet and praying man who devoted his time to studying God's Word. He entered the military at the age of 17 years old, he served 35 years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an extraordinary poet and a distinguished member of the International Society of Poets. He was a talented painter and sketch artist who took extra care and pride in his work. For 32 years, he supported children at the Cheyenne River Indian Outreach and St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlin SD, he also supported the Missionary of The Poor in Jamaica WI, and the Natural Resource Defense Council to protect the environment.

He's survived by his daughter, Pastor Gayle Lynn Bobino of Haines City, FL, he is also survived by his sister, Geneva Hurst of Texas City, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his father, Rodger and Mother Orelia; his brothers, Rodger, Dalton, Willie, James, Lawrence, and sister, Virginia. He leaves behind cousins, nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives.

A visitation will be held 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 (Comments limited to 2 minutes). Preceding to Houston National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. with burial service time at 12:45 p.m., there will be no police motorcade, we will use our own cars to drive to the cemetery.
