Dedicated wife, loving Mother, cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Clara Frances Moss, age 88, of Texas City, Texas passed into Gods hands on June 26th 2017.
Clara, known to many as Memaw, was a wonderful example of Faith, Love and Selflessness. She had an unwavering faith in God. As a lifelong resident of Texas City and member of First Assembly, she was a devoted organist for over 35 years. She touched the hearts of many and was a blessing to all who knew her.
Clara was born on July 8, 1928 to Frank and Izora Lawrence of Texas City, Texas. She is survived by her siblings: Frank (Margaret) Lawrence, Dorothea (Wayne) Hogan and Doyle (Donna) Lawrence. Clara is also survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Travis A. Moss, as well as her devoted children: David (Robin) Moss, Paul (Donna) Moss and Timothy Moss. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren and many great-grandchildren: Duane Moss, Tiffany (Duren) Jenkins, Michelle Moss (Jeremy Kenan), Ashley (Weston) Black, Derek Moss, Kyle (Katie) Moss, and Riley Moss.
To celebrate Clara's life, a service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday June, 30, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Weis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in League City, Texas. Visitation to precede the service on Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers are Duane Moss, Kyle Moss, Derek Moss, Duren Jenkins, Ted Dudley III and Weston Black.
