Christine Bennett born April 12, 1932 passed away from life Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in Galveston, Texas.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00P.M., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home.

Preceded in death by her husband John L. Bennett of 32 years parents William and
Betty Wendt brothers Billy, Henry, Elmer sisters Anna, Betty, Minnie.

She is survived by her children Arnold Eugene Grupe and wife Dora of Del Rio TX, Ruth Mills of Centerville TX, Patrick Bennett of Texas City TX, Catherine Higgs of Texas City, Margaret Bradford and husband Bobby of Frankston TX, Mary DeWitt and husband Aubrey DeWitt of Texas City, John Bennett and wife Sarah of Texas City grandchildren Marc Grupe, Joey Grupe, Bobby Pate, Denny Pate, Leah Christin Steely, Jack Bennett, Jennifer Walsh, Pandora Bradford, Kori Martinez, Aubrey Clint DeWitt, Carin Bennett, JL Bennett. 13 great grandchildren, numerous well loved stepgrandchildren and greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
