Charles Froeschl, passed away April 19, 2014 at the age of 90.

Visitation will be 5:007:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Graveside Service will be held at Trinity Cemetery, Jefferson, Texas on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Charles was born September 29, 1923 in Steyr, Austria. He came to Galveston, Texas with his parents at age four and resided in the Galveston area through most of his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Charles worked for Monsanto Chemical Company from 1945 until he retired in 1983 and relocated to Jefferson, Texas where he and his wife Virginia became very active members of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Scott Froeschl and his two younger brothers, Frank Froeschl, Jr. and Robert Froeschl.

Survivors include his two sons, Phillip Scott and wife Rhonda, and Steven Scott sisters, Barbara Blakely and husband Ardy, Hilda Mason, Trudy Hosek, Rosalie McAdams two brotherinlaws, Larry Kindred and wife Pat, Wade Kindred and wife Betty granddaughters, Amanda Brewer and husband Jay, Andrea Link and husband Joseph, Allison Saldivar and husband Seth greatgrandchildren, Alex Ramirez, Nathan Brooks, Averie Link, Isaiah Saldivar, Ellie Saldivar and also many nieces and nephews
