Casey Burleigh

Casey Elise Burleigh, of Texas City, passed away August 31, 2020 at her home.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020 with a visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral in Texas City, Texas.

Casey was born February 21, 1992 in Texas City. She was a Veterinary Technician at Friendswood Animal Clinic.

She is preceded in death by brother, Jacob Patrick, grandmother, Jane Burleigh, grandfather, James Burleigh, grandmother, Frances Gilbert, grandfather, Rex Gilbert and Aunt, Rexann Gilbert Marion.

Survivors include daughter, Sofie Jane Martin; mother, Gloria Gilbert; father, Jim Burleigh and step-mom, Julie Burleigh; sisters, Brittany Clark and husband RC, Hannah Gilbert, Tacey Lancaster, Torie Lancaster, Chasta Moore and husband Brett and Sheena Hobbs; brother, Corbin Lancaster and wife Ashley; aunts, Melissa Gilbert, Susan Gilbert, Bonnie Bachman and husband Jerry, Barbara Moscowitz and husband Richie; uncles, Timmy Gilbert and wife Amanda, and David Burleigh; first cousins, Andrew Gilbert, Cody Gilbert, Jennifer Bachman Sherman, Lindsay Bachman, Rebecca Moscowitz, Laura Kjaersgaard, Michael Moscowitz and Tabitha Gilbert as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, after funeral expenses are paid, any remaining funds will go into a college trust fund for her daughter Sofie.
