Carrie Pinkston

Carrie Walker Pinkston passed from this life on Friday, April 22, 2016.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 and a visitation from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Carrie was born in Galveston on December 3, 1942 to Stafford Brooks "Johnnie" Walker and Melanie Laura Knapp. She was a graduate of Ball High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse.

Carrie married her husband John on December 5, 1964 and had 2 children Laura and Paul. Carrie loved traveling whether to the casinos to play slots or calling her brother and sister and saying, "Do you want to go to …?"

Carrie was preceded in death by her mother Melanie, her father Stafford, her step-mother Tiny and her sister Helene. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, John; daughter Laura; son Paul and daughter-in-law Margaret; grandchildren Teresa and Luke; brother Sonny and sister-in-law Sandy; brother Ralph and sister-in-law Mary; sister Laura and brother-in-law James and nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Carrie's family would like to thank the staff at Seasons Personal Care for taking great care of her these last 4 years.
