Carolyn Vicknair-McCormick,  peacefully passed away, at the age of 71, at her residence in Texas City, Texas, after a courageous battle with ALS, on May 14th, 2024.

 

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Please join the family for a reception following the burial at 4002 Pecan Grove Santa Fe, Tx 77510.

 

Carolyn (Kaki) was born on December 18, 1952, in Texas City, Texas to Earl Joesph Vicknair Sr. And Ramona Vicknair-LeCroy. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Hitchcock, Texas.

 

Carolyn had a love of the outdoors which included going to the beach, camping, sailing and she loved watching the Hallmark Channel on her days to relax. She loved spending time with all of her family and cherished every memory made with her children and grandchildren. She worked for and retired as a HR Specialist from Devereux in League city, Texas.

 

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Joesph Vicknair Sr., and Ramona Vicknair-LeCroy; stepfather, Tom LeCroy and husband Gene McCormick.

 

She is survived by her brother, Earl Joesph Vicknair Jr. and wife Debra; daughter, Meriam Wallace and husband Justin; son, Roy Denny III and wife Autumn; step sisters, Lynne Slaton and husband Jerry, Leah LeCroy, and Lisa Camey and husband Luis; nephews, Earl Joesph Vicknair III and wife Taunya, Gregg Vicknair and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Chelsey Dodson and husband Hunter, Mya Taylor, Jordan Denny and wife Hunter, Hannah Denny, Cameron Denny, Kaleb Denny, Trinity Denny, Veronica Madrid, Michelle Munoz and husband James Foster, Luke Wallace, Shelby Wallace and Lindsey Watts and husband Tyler; great grandchildren, Harleigh Dodson, Liam Dodson, Audrey Dodson, Lakin Ann Williams, Hudson Williams, Zephyr Denny, Tristan Cooper, Mason Cooper, Noah Cooper, Gage Peña, James Foster III, Kenslee Wallace, Katie Watts and Kylie Watts; aunt, Betsy Pitre; sister-in-law, Mary McCormick; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Pallbearers are Jordan Denny, Cameron Denny, Kaleb Denny, Earl Joesph Vicknair III, Gregg Vicknair and Luke Wallace.

 

Honorary pallbearers are Earl Joesph Vicknair Jr., Rusty Vicknair and Chacie LaGrange.

 

The family would also like to send special thanks to Hannah Denny for always being at her side, Autumn Denny and Debra Vicknair for taking such great care of mom and Traditions Hospice.
