Burett Waggoner

Burett A. Waggoner, 76 formerly of Texas City, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sargent, Texas and Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away Saturday, April11, 2015 in Lake Jackson.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, April 15 at the Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Forest Park East in Webster.. Visitation will be from noon to 1 PM Wednesday at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mr. Waggoner was born July 26, 1938 in Galveston to A. B. and Irene Waggoner who were the former owners of Mainland Laundry in Texas City. He attended Texas City High School and Sam Houston State University and retired as a businessman in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He served his country in the U S Navy and was a 32 degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lee Cox, and Marjie Lewis; brother, George Waggoner and his sister, Norma Matthews.

Survivors include his wife, Margie; twin sister Betty Harrison of Fayetteville, Arkansas, nieces and nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

He loved his music, to fish and his friends.
