Bobby James Phillips, 54, of Pearland, Texas, passed away the 24th of November at Clear Lake Hospital.
Bobby James Phillips was born on February 27th, 1966 in Woodville, Texas to Audrey Phillips Wilson and Jimmy Phillips Sr. He was a caring father, son, brother and friend. Bobby was a proud graduate of Pearland High School class of 1984. He was a long-time resident of Pearland, Texas where he worked at the Family Title Company as an Escrow Officer. Bobby’s love was his children and everything outdoors. He especially loved participating on various barbeque cooking teams and sharing that experience with his son, Little Bob and daughter, Caymen. He was an active committee member for 30 years of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He loved to play sports: basketball, softball and golf and enjoyed anytime he could spend outdoors fishing and hunting. Bobby enjoyed spending time with friends and he never met a stranger where he wasn’t willing to share a Silver Bullet.
He is preceded in death by Minnie Plaster and James Plaster.
Survivors include his children, Bobby, Shae and Caymen; mother, Audrey Phillips Wilson and husband, Dusty Wilson; father, Jimmy Phillips Sr.; sister, Rhonda Phillips; brother, Jimmy Phillips II and his wife Stephanie; nephew, Jimmy Phillips III and his wife Laura; niece, Amber Phillips and Bobby’s fiancé, Jennifer Bates.
Bobby was loving, quick witted, kind spirited and had a huge heart. Bobby will be remembered by his generous heart and warm smile.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2020 with a visitation from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery at 1:30pm.
