Betty Winters

Betty Ruth Winters, 83, of Texas City, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, May, 12, 2016. Betty was born August 11, 1932 in Hurst Texas to Jim and L.A. Franklin.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 40 years, John Winters; her sisters, Norma Jean and Peggy Irene.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie Dimitri and husband Jimmie and Debbie Gates and husband Gordon; son, Michael Winters; ten grandchildren, Dale Nikki, Cheryl, Robin, Rachael, Kristie, Jodi, Travis, Jessica and Michael who knew her as Magraw and Meme; special niece and nephew, Kellie and Kim; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of loving friends and family.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Dale Dimitri, Travis Gates, Michael Winters, Zach Agnew, John Owens and Frankie Cruz.

The family will receive visitors 9:00 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. A funeral will follow at 10:00 a.m., officiated by her loving pastor, Rudy Rios of Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park.
