Betty Evans

Betty Jane Evans, 80, of Texas City, passed away at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville, Texas on March 8, 2012.

There will be a Graveside Service at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Galveston Memorial Park, 7301 Memorial Drive, Hitchcock, TX 77563.

Mrs. Evans was born in Grannis, Arkansas on June 25, 1931 to William Gill and Sarah Regina Gill.

She loved cooking, music, especially Gospel music, animals and traveling.

She moved to Texas at a young age and married Lafayette Evans on
March 30, 1946. They were married for 54 years until his passing, May 29, 2000. They had 2 children, Patty Jane Evans and Charles Wayne Evans and a step son William Irby Evans from Lafayettes previous marriage.

Patty gave her 2 grandsons and Charles gave her a granddaughter.
