Henrietta Bessire, 79, of Texas City, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, at Southpark Meadows Nursing Center in Austin, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Friday, October 3, at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.

Visitation will be 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday, October 2, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City with a Rosary beginning at 7 PM. Mrs. Bessire was born January 5, 1935 in Sweet Home, Texas. She was retired from Texas New Mexico Power. She was a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and lived in Texas City until 2011 when she moved to Austin to live with her son Terry. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jimmy Bessire and son, Gerald Bessire.

Survivors include sons Terry Bessire and wife Marilyn of Austin and David Bessire and wife Deborah of Houston daughter Deanna Cryer and husband Larry of Fairfield grandchildren: Nicholas and Jeremy Bessire, Ashlyn Mac Beth, Holly Walker, and Blake Cryer sisters Loretta Raska of Texas City and Isabel Belcik of Hallettsville, Texas numerous other relatives and friends.
