Barbara Jean Ledford Waggoner, 70, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in her own home surrounded by her beloved husband and loving daughters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016 at Emken Linton Funeral Home. Burial Will follow at Forest Park East. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City Texas.
Barbara was born in Whitefish, Montana on December 1, 1946. She was a retired healthcare worker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Texas City. Barbara was a loving and exceptional mother who was always there when her family needed her. She was a best friend and confidant to her daughters and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her love was easy to see and she was loved by all who met her. After the grandkids were born she was known as Nana by all.
She is preceded in death by father, Samuel Ledford and in laws, George and Ruby Waggoner.
Survivors include mother, Mae Patton of Dickinson; husband of 51 years, Gordon Waggoner; daughters, Pamela Helzer and husband Jammie and Elizabeth McGee and husband Ray both of Texas City; brother, Larry Ledford and wife Deen of Dickinson; grandchildren, Steven Helzer, Jacob Fuller, Kaylee Helzer, Cameron Howard, Ava Fuller and Emory McGee.
Pallbearers are Jammie Helzer, Ray McGee, Jacob Fuller, Cameron Howard, Steven Helzer and Larry Ledford.
