Barbara Toliver

Barbara Ann Toliver, 83, of Texas City, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland Hospital in Texas City.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.  Visitation will be an hour prior from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Barbara was born March 12, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia to parents Paul and Ruth (Cunningham) Cooney.  She enjoyed fishing and playing Skip Bo with friends. She was an avid animal lover. She loved having Saturday movie nights with her friends. She loved watching Houston sports and loved the Texans and Astros.

She is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Toliver, and sons Charles Paul Key, and Jerry Don Key.

Survivors include her son Randy Key; brothers Harold Grimes and wife Carole, Paul Grimes, and wife Ursula; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur baby Shylo

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
