Barbara Holley

The world's most beloved mother and grandmother, Barbara Elaine Holley "Nene", 65, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at Galveston Memorial Cemetery.

Elaine was born February 8, 1956 in Texas City, Texas. She worked for Dr. Dorothy Merritt for almost 30 years as her "girl Friday" which initiated a close friendship. Elaine was loved by everyone she met as she has never met a stranger. She had a servant's heart and a passion for helping others. She had a love for her family like no other and was very passionate about her grandchildren.

Awaiting her arrival in the Kingdom of our Lord is the love of her life James "Doug" Myers; her beloved parents Ardy E. Blakely, Jr and Barbara Froeschl-Blakley; and her brother Ardy E. Blakley III.

She is survived by and her memories will forever be cherished by her daughter, Sybil "Lil' Bit" Montez and spouse Anthony Montez Jr., and her 3 grandchildren, Kenneth Brown III "Bubba", Amber Lynn Brown "Boo" and Elyse Nicole Brown "Boogie" all of which made up the entirety of her world along with many close friends.
