Barbar Green

Barbara Green went peacefully suddenly to be with the Lord on September 29, 2011.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, from 6 8 p.m. at the EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Barbara was born in Wheaton, Illinois on July 12, 1925 to Rollin and Helen Fisk. She worked at Heights and Danforth Elementary Schools for 6 years before she started a 20year career in real estate.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David Green.

Barbara is survived by four children: David Green, Jacque Matthews and husband Ossie, Judy Green, and Becky Kellett and husband Tom. She was blessed with her grandchildren: Chris and wife Kristin, Ashley, Shea, Derek, Trey and Annie, Heather and Mike also her great grandchildren: Angel, Kierstyn, Skylar, Cole, Sunnie, Cash, Rainn, Dylan, James Arthur, Hunter, Fisher, Trey, Savannah, Michaela, Dakota, and Duce, whom she loved to watch play and swim at her house during the summer months her sister Nancy Cade numerous other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her dear friend, Rita Torres, for the many years of friendship that they enjoyed.
