Angelina Martinez

Angelina Sanchez Martinez (Angie), 80, of Texas City, Texas gained her wings March 10, 2018. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at her side.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Angie was born May 18, 1937 in Gillette, Texas to Eloisa Salcido and Natividad Sanchez. She married the love of her life, Esteban (Steve) Martinez, 61 years ago on July 9, 1956. Angie loved being a wife and mother as well as hosting numerous get togethers, holidays and family events. Her hobbies included traveling, trips to casinos, camping, cooking and watching her favorite novelas. Her home was always open to everyone and she took great pride in being a grandmother and great grandmother. Her most prized possessions were her great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her only son, Gilbert Steve Martinez; parents, Eloisa Salcido and Natividad Sanchez; brothers, Raymond and Ruben Sanchez.

Survivors include her husband, Esteban Martinez; daughters, Linda (Bobby) Blume and Ginny (Chris) Mosakowski; grandchildren, Tiffany Swain, Natalie (Armondo) DeLeon and Robert (Alba) Herrera, Jr.; great grandchildren, Raymond Herrera, Makaela Toliver, Alexis Herrera and Armando De Leon III; half sister, Mary Martha Grimes, extended family, Robert Herrera, Sr. and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Raymond Herrera, Robert Herrera Jr., Chris Mosakowski, Bobby Blume, Armando De Leon, Jr., Robert Herrera Sr. and Honorary Pallbearer, Armando De Leon III.
