Alto James "Jim" Bolton, 93, of Texas City, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Mainland Center Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held noon on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Jim was born on February 23, 1923 in Century, Florida. He was an Instrument Engineering Superintendent with Monsanto. He was a past president of Lions Club and a deacon with Temple Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Bolton and Laura Taylor; granddaughter Courtney Gass and great-granddaughter Anika Allgood .

Survivors include son Wade Bolton and partner Eric Rosenblatt; daughter, Judy Bolton Bradley; Grandchildren, Cody Gass, Dawn Dahm, Jeremy Bolton, Chelsea Bolton; Great Grandchildren, Macie Vera, Austin Gass, Aubrey Gass, Wendy Moore, Maddie Dahm, Tanner Dahm and Luke Dahm.
