Aldelia Owens

Alde Owens, 89, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Alde was born February 5, 1928 in St. Cloud, Florida. She was a retired bookkeeper and kindergarten teacher. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Texas City.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis C. Owens.

Survivors include sons, Bill Owens and wife, Nicki of Magnolia, Texas and Jerry Owens of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter, Marjorie Stapp of Tomball, Texas; sister, Inez Ashmore of Richardson, Texas; sister-in-law, Joyce Mayes of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Grace Undercoffer and husband Tony, Karen Ford and husband Bryan, Clayton Owens, Sarah Stapp and Kevin Stapp; 4 great grandchildren, Caleb and Violet Undercoffer and Bailey and Levi Ford; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Baptist Church of Texas City Building Fund or to a charity of your choice.
