Agustina Martinez

Agustina Almendariz Martinez, 82, of Brownsville, Texas passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Saturday, July, 2, 2016 in Houston Texas after a long battle with cancer.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2016 with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City Texas.

Agustina Martinez was born August 28, 1933 in Mission, Texas. Her wonderful spirit, joy and smile will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by father, Demencio Almendariz; mother, Maria Gonzalez and her brother, Magdaleno Almendariz.

Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Mr. Miguel Martinez; children, Mary Gomez, Yolanda Rosa, Margarita McClintock, Maria Rosales, Martina Ramirez, Alicia Carlisle, Leticia Posada and Jose Martinez; sisters, Manuela Saenz, Elva Garcia and Magdalena Weldon. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
